I’m Diana (she/they), Senior Product Designer with 10+ years of experience building user-centered, scalable digital products across fintech and complex platforms. I specialize in product design for native mobile and web (UX/visual), product strategy, discovery, and new tech (AI prototyping and PR generation). I bring a systems-level perspective to my work when collaborating with cross-functional partners and think deeply about the bigger picture when building customer-centered product. Previously a Banking and Payments design DRI at Square, I was responsible for design on Bill Pay (Square’s standalone AP automation payment tool), Square Checking engagement, and Cards (debit and Square Credit Card rewards). I joined Square with a shared passion to provide economic empowerment to our sellers and I look forward to making a similar impact in my next role.
Open to conversations about product design, fintech, streamlining workflows, and building meaningful digital experiences.
A brief rundown of my recent career history:

• Design DRI for Square Banking Checking redesign across SPOS and web, modernizing IA, usability, and engagement for core banking experiences.
• Led major deposit experience improvements including cash deposit, mobile check deposit, while advocating for external account syncing with popular financial apps to reduce friction and increase funds visibility.
Square Cards (Debit and Credit)
• Design DRI for Square Credit Card rewards redesign, expanding redemption flexibility, improving engagement on the Square Point of Sale app (SPOS) and Dashboard (web).
• Led design on Square Debit Card virtual card launch, enabling automatic provisioning upon Checking account creation and immediate access to funds.
• Led long-term vision exploration for debit card incentive strategies, partnering with Product, Engineering, and PMM leadership to define engagement levers.
Bill Pay
• Design lead for Bill Pay, Square’s standalone AP automation product, helping sellers pay vendors and bills. Working from launch, designed core experience functionality while strategizing with cross functional partners.
• Design lead on biller network integration, enabling streamlined payee discovery and collaborator with Cash App’s Banking Core team.
• Led AI-powered vendor categorization for accounting, reducing onboarding time and improving ledger accuracy.
• Reduced drop-off at payee creation and improved bill completion flow through UX simplification.
At Flyhomes, I wore many hats and worked on both the customer-facing homebuying squad, as well as the internal tools squad. Working on the Flyhomes app and site, I focused on our search experience and home tour booking experience. For our internal users, I worked with a cross functional team to redefine the tour request process in our internal platform and automating it using a workflow.
In my spare time, I taught over 100 students at UCLA Extension. I wrote all curriculum for my UX II Iteration course and was named a Distinguished Educator in the UCLA Visual Design Department in 2020.
At this social media startup, I worked closely with our CPO (ex-Reddit), to design a proof of concept app for groups and communities. Focused on community safety and inclusivity, I drove our user research, onboarding experience (including extensive research work surrounding pronoun selection), group creation flow, chat and post experience, and moderator tools.
At Vetted, I helped bring veterinarians to pet owners’ doors.
Focusing on increasing conversion and elevating our mobile experiences, I redesigned Vetted’s booking flow and patient dashboard. With a redesigned booking flow, this work helped to reduce rescheduled appointments and support calls. Additionally, I worked on a telemedicine proof of concept.
As Heal’s lead designer, I worked on experiences that brought a doctor to patients’ homes and made healthcare more accessible. Highlights include working on patient health monitoring using third-party devices in addition to the first Apple HealthKit and Health Records integration. Primary care doctor selection and iterative improvements to our booking flow. In 2017, we were highlighted as the app of the day in the App Store.
Working at a boutique UX agency, I worked with clients including Cisco Metacloud/Metapod on their cloud management system. I worked to maintain the UI library as well as net new features.
